The introduction of PPS21 has significantly altered the planning criteria for rural and urban planning. To help our customers as well as the general public, Gerard Graham & Company Estate Agents arranged a free seminar for the public which was hosted in the head office in Magherafelt during July and was a huge success. Due to public demand we have arranged for another seminar to take place 8th October 2009 at 7pm, in association with Elevate Planning Consultancy. If you would like to listen to the 40 minute presentation and get some straight forward answers to your planning questions please come along. - Cost of Development Land Exposed!
On 3rd September 2009 over 25 people attended a presentation in the office on the status of the property market. Topic covered included:- Property price trends
- Projection for the next 12 months
- How to add value to existing property
- Update on commercial market
- New legislation for the sale and letting of property
- Overview of finance market
- Update on criteria for mortgage leading
A breakdown was also given of how development land is valued. Details were presented on how developers have in some cases under instruction from their lending institution had to double their target profit margin to guard against any potential fall in house prices.

Premier League footballer Andrew Johnson, who recently bought a four bedroom villa at Flamingo Golf Resort in Turkey through Gerard Graham & Company Estate Agents has been in contact with the office to suggest potential dates to visit to complete the paper-work for the purchase. His ex-team mate Tim Cahill visited the office in April 2009 and was impressed with the hospitality on offer and is aloes set to visit again. - Hatton Visits Gerard Graham & Company Estate Agents
Former world champion boxer Ricky Hatton visited the offices of Gerard Graham & Company Estate Agents on 8th July 2009 to review design proposals for his new multi-purpose villa and pre-fight training camp which is set to be built at Flamingo Golf Resort. Contract administration for the bespoke property is being conducted from the leading Magherafelt estate agency group. Former heavy weight world champion boxer Frank Bruno accompanied Hatton on the summer trip and viewed the offices. Ricky Hatton said after the trip,
"It was great to visit the office and meet the representatives having spoke to them on the phone so many times. I was well impressed with the welcome we got in Magherafelt and am looking forward to returning again at some stage."
Gerard Graham, Office Principal said, "It was a real bonus to host Ricky and his team for the afternoon. It's not every day such a high profile sports personality flies over for a meeting. The Hatton team have been a please to deal with, we're looking forward to maintaining a good relationship which has been built up since Ricky confirmed the order".
